  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut milk
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by combining Greek yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, and spices in a bowl. Coat the chicken thoroughly and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.
  2. Heat butter or ghee in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated chicken until golden brown on both sides; remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onions until golden brown. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; cook until fragrant.
  4. Stir in tomato paste and crushed tomatoes. Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and add heavy cream or coconut milk. Allow simmering for another 15 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
