  • 1 jar quality apricot preserves
  • Egg whites (for brushing)
  • Granulated sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add sifted flour, lemon zest, and salt; mix until just combined.
  4. Chill the dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
