Ingredients
Scale
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1 cup chicken broth
1 tbsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
4 lb cabbage (chopped)
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup yellow onion (diced)
Instructions
In a large pot, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Stir in garlic powder and red pepper flakes; cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
Add chopped cabbage to the pot, mixing well with the onion mixture. Season with salt, black pepper, and Old Bay seasoning.
Pour in chicken broth, cover the pot, and let it simmer on low-medium heat for about 15–20 minutes until the cabbage is tender but still has some crunch.
Remove the lid and drizzle apple cider vinegar over the cabbage; stir to combine before serving.
