  • 1 pack (8 ounces) softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (split)
  • 2 cups blueberries (divided)
  • 2 loaves cubed French bread
  • 2 cups milk
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and half of the vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Layer half of the cubed French bread in a baking dish; top with half of the blueberries and dollops of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat layers.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and remaining vanilla extract; pour over layered ingredients.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight (or for at least 4 hours).
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C), uncover casserole, and bake for about 75 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
