  • 4 (6 oz) salmon filets
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 tsp water
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. In a saucepan, combine cornstarch mixture, orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with oiled foil and place salmon filets on it. Brush generously with the teriyaki sauce (reserve half).
  3. Bake salmon for about 14 minutes until flaky. Baste with remaining sauce and broil for an additional minute for a golden finish.
  4. Serve over rice with optional toppings like sesame seeds and green onions.
