  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp honey (optional glaze)
  • 2 tbsp orange juice (optional glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk melted butter, honey, and eggs until smooth; add orange juice, zest, and grated ginger.
  4. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Optional: Brush the warm cake with a honey-orange glaze made from honey and orange juice.
