3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons coarse sea salt
1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast (or instant yeast)
1 1/2 cups warm water (about 110 degrees F)
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast. Add warm water and stir until well combined; the dough will be sticky.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 3-4 hours or refrigerate for up to 15 hours for more flavor.
After rising, sprinkle flour on your surface and shape the dough into a ball. Place on parchment paper and let it rest for another 30 minutes while preheating your oven to 450 degrees F.
Preheat your Dutch oven or cast iron pot in the oven.
Carefully transfer the dough into the pot on the parchment paper. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack before slicing.
