  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 ¾ cups whole white mushrooms, washed and dried
  • ¼ cup cream cheese, cut into small cubes
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp dry ground oregano
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tbsp fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, melt the unsalted butter and olive oil together.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Gently add the washed white mushrooms to the pan, stirring to coat them in the buttery mixture. Cook for about five minutes until tender.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and stir in the cream cheese cubes until fully melted.
  5. Add grated Parmesan, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  6. Let simmer for about five minutes until thickened and creamy.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
