- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 ¾ cups whole white mushrooms, washed and dried
- ¼ cup cream cheese, cut into small cubes
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp dry ground oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- ½ tbsp fresh chopped parsley for garnish
- In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, melt the unsalted butter and olive oil together.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Gently add the washed white mushrooms to the pan, stirring to coat them in the buttery mixture. Cook for about five minutes until tender.
- Reduce heat to medium and stir in the cream cheese cubes until fully melted.
- Add grated Parmesan, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Let simmer for about five minutes until thickened and creamy.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
