  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup salted butter

  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Wash and scrub 3 lbs of Yukon gold potatoes thoroughly, then chop into small chunks.
  2. Boil the Potatoes: Place the chopped potatoes in a large pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until soft.
  3. Infuse the Milk: In another saucepan, combine ½ cup of whole milk, ½ cup of salted butter, minced garlic cloves, salt, and black pepper over low heat until warmed through.
  4. Drain and Combine: Drain the cooked potatoes, return them to the pot, and pour in the warm garlic milk mixture. Mash until creamy but leave some texture if preferred.
