  • 12 tablespoons (180g) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup (80mL) vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup (180mL) whole milk, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 cup (240g) full fat sour cream, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup (120g) rainbow jimmies sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together cake flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
  3. Cream the unsalted butter with vegetable oil until smooth. Add eggs, milk, vinegar, sour cream, and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just incorporated. Gently fold in the rainbow sprinkles.
