  • 1/3 cup Nutella or fruit jam
  • 1 large egg (beaten with 1 tablespoon water) for egg wash
  • Optional: Crystal sanding sugar and confectioners' sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets just enough to seal perforations.
  3. Cut each sheet into a 9-inch circle; place one circle on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Spread Nutella or jam in the center, leaving a half-inch border.
  5. Top with the second pastry circle and press edges to seal.
  6. Cut into 16 wedges around a small glass placed in the center.
  7. Twist each wedge toward each other and pinch to shape into a snowflake.
  8. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sanding sugar if desired.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Cool slightly and dust with confectioners' sugar before serving.
