  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced thin)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup heavy/whipping cream
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the pasta al dente according to package directions.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter with olive oil. Sauté sliced mushrooms and minced garlic for about 5 minutes until tender.
  3. Pour in the white wine, add Italian seasoning, lemon juice, flour, and Dijon mustard; stir until smooth.
  4. Mix in the heavy cream and let simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add sautéed mushrooms back into the sauce, season with salt and pepper.
  6. Drain pasta and toss with the creamy mushroom sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
