Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6-oz.) salmon fillets
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp chopped dill
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook salmon skin side up until golden brown, about 6 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 30 seconds. Stir in flour and cook for another 30 seconds before whisking in heavy cream. Simmer until slightly thickened (2-4 minutes).
  3. Add lemon juice, zest, and dill to the sauce; season with salt and pepper. Return salmon to the skillet, simmering gently in the sauce for one more minute.
  4. Garnish with crushed red pepper flakes before serving.
