  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • nonpareils for sprinkling on top (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add egg yolks and vanilla to the butter mixture; blend well.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
  6. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets and create an indent with your thumb.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes; let cool while preparing ganache by heating chocolate chips with heavy cream until smooth.
  8. Fill each cookie’s center with ganache.
