  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 (12-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 13×9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil and lightly spray with cooking oil.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add baking soda, salt, flour, and oats; mix until well combined.
  4. Reserve one cup of the oat mixture and press the remaining mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for about 10 minutes.
  5. While crust is baking, combine sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter in another bowl until smooth.
  6. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the crust after it has baked. Spread evenly.
  7. Crumble reserved oat mixture over the top, followed by sprinkling chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake for an additional 25 minutes or until golden brown around edges.
  9. Allow cooling completely in the pan before lifting out to cut into squares.
