Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease three 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla.
  4. Alternately mix in the dry ingredients and milk until just combined.
  5. Fold in chopped cherries and divide the batter among the prepared pans.
