  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt butter and mix with sugar; add eggs and vanilla.
  2. Combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl; mix with wet ingredients until just combined.
  3. Pour brownie batter into a greased 9-inch springform pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until set. Cool.
  4. Whip together cream cheese and sugar; add eggs one at a time along with vanilla and sour cream.
  5. Spread cheesecake mixture over cooled brownies and bake for another 30-35 minutes until slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Prepare caramel by melting sugar until golden brown; whisk in butter and cream until smooth with added sea salt.
  7. Drizzle caramel over cooled cheesecake and chill for at least two hours before serving.
