  • 3/4 cup Milk (warmed)
  • 2 1/4 tsp Active dry yeast
  • 1 Large egg
  • 2/3 cup Mashed bananas
  • 5 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 10 TBSP Unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 TBSP Ground cinnamon
  • For icing: Cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Warm milk to about 110℉ and mix with active dry yeast; let sit until frothy.
  2. Combine mashed bananas, beaten egg, salt, sugar, and butter; stir well.
  3. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about an hour until doubled in size.
  5. Prepare filling by mixing brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside sliced bananas.
  6. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread softened butter and sprinkle filling mixture over it.
  7. Add sliced bananas and roll tightly into a log; slice into 12 equal pieces.
  8. Allow rolls to rise again for another 30 minutes before baking at 350℉ for about 30 minutes until golden.
  9. Prepare cream cheese icing by beating together ingredients until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls.
